Riding on the steady growth in the global wind power industry, W-Power (formerly known as CWEE) has gained traction in the trade. The exhibition provides a comprehensive sourcing platform with an extensive range of products including wind turbines, offshore wind energy equipment, accessories and technology, wind farm management system and other equipment.
The global wind power industry continues to expand as the world places more emphasis in clean and green energy. According to the World Wind Energy Association, the market volume for new wind capacity in 2014 was 40% more than in 2013. Of which, the top twelve countries - including China , Germany and United States – installed a total of 44.8 gigawatt (GW) of new wind power plants, setting new national records.
China in particular, takes the top rank in total cumulative installed units in 2014. The country added 23.3 GW, the largest amount a country has ever installed within one year, reaching a total capacity of 115 GW. It is estimated that, China’s total wind power capacity will reach 200 GW by 2020, with an annual output of 39,000 GW. Committed to sustainability, W-Power aims to further boost a network where suppliers, buyers, policy-makers and industry influencers to converge and drive positive growth in the wind energy landscape.
W-Power 2017 is a co-locating event of E-Power Expo. The expo expects to span across 46,000 square metres, featuring 560 exhibitors from over 40 countries and attracting some 31,000 visitors and buyers.
A dedicated international hosted buyers and business matching programme is also specially tailored to serve as a platform for both sellers and buyers to meet and make in-depth business meetings.
