The future of hospitality is green. Period. Sustainable tourism is not a short-lived trend in South Tyrol, but a living reality. Do you like numbers? We have numbers: 18 certified climate communities, over 10,000 climate houses, 14 climate hotels, 19 green events as well as the 32 Vitalpina Hotels, which are the first hotel cooperation ever to join the climate neutrality alliance, are just the beginning. And yet there are still many unanswered questions. Tourism and hospitality are changing as a result of the pandemic and the climate crisis, which can no longer be overlooked due to the extreme weather phenomena. What will holiday-seekers look for in the future, how will travel habits change? What measures do I have to take so that my guest business will still be attractive in 10 years' time? How can I orient myself? We have included these questions as an industry platform for the hotel and catering industry at Hotel 2021 and looked for answers together with you. We let tourism experts and sustainability pioneers have their say and presented the Sustainability Award to the most sustainable products of the exhibiting companies. We have inspired you with the most exciting stories of hotels that are already operating sustainably and, on the Hotel Connects Stage, highlighted a different aspect of sustainable hospitality every day of the fair, from innovation to circular economy and design to the "sustainable pioneers" and their stories. Now we look forward from 21-24 October 2024 again on you. We - and the 600 top companies that place their trust in hotels year after year - bring their most innovative products with them.
