THE WORLD’S LEADING CONGRESS FOR BIG DATA & AI IN LIFE SCIENCES AND HEALTHCARE

BioData World is Europe's largest big data in pharmaceutical development and healthcare congress. The congress was initially designed through a partnership with EMBL-EBI and the Sanger Institute four years ago to tackle the issues of driving big data into the clinic and pharmaceutical development in the most streamlined way possible.

To do this the congress brought together an amalgamation of IT leaders, bioinformaticians, clinicians, government representatives, pharma companies and large-scale projects to Hinxton in the UK. We have now developed a global network of luminaries including: EVERY TOP 30 PHARMA COMPANY, Broad Institute, NASA, Google, NHS, Cancer Research UK, ABPI, WHO, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Francis Crick Institute, Institute Curie, American Heart Association, British Heart Association, Farr Institute, INSERM, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Swedish Cancer Institute, Mayo Clinic, Wellcome Trust, European Commission and the top 10 Life Science VC groups.

The event was designed to drive change and collaboration through innovative methods and has since been used in global change implementation strategy by, Roche, Merck and NASA.

With the vast quantity of data there comes challenges and questions into how to implement infrastructure and deliver this data in a usable format. Welcoming in this new generation of healthcare is a multifaceted effort requiring academics, commercial businesses, clinicians and pharmaceutical companies and of course the patients to discuss how to develop this new exciting field of healthcare.

Since then we have brought our expertise to one location in Basel in partnership with Roche, Novartis and the Canton of Basel.

The event will showcase innovation, demonstrate success and break through the obstacles and barriers to ensure that the innovations in genomics and big data enter the clinic with speed and efficiency. It will aim to make the dream of stratified medicine a reality.
