Kazakhstan, Almaty (Alma-Ata), КЦДС «Атакент» (Atakent - Expo)
From September 28 to September 30, the Atakent Exhibition Center will host the 20th Kazakhstan International Energy, Electrical Equipment and Machine Building Exhibition - Powerexpo Almaty 2022.
Kazakhstan continues its movement towards the greening of industry and economy, the energy industry is no exception. The energy system of the country operates in self-balancing mode, according to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the volume of electricity generation in 2021 amounted to 114.4 billion kWh, or 106% by 2020. To cover the deficit of both basic and regulating power capacity, it is necessary to ensure the independence of the power system from the regulation of the power systems of neighboring states. In this connection, in addition to increasing the capacity of traditional and renewable energy sources, Kazakhstan needs to consider the scenario of introducing generation from atomic power plant in the energy balance. The industry faces urgent challenges in the development of coal, gas, atomic generation, hydroelectric power plants, as well as renewable energy sources.
During the three days of the Powerexpo Almaty 2022 exhibition, professionals in the electric power industry will be able to discuss possible ways for further development of the energy sector in Kazakhstan, the use of renewable energy sources, increase in energy efficiency and energy saving.
